Day 29 - Melbourne to Port Campbell

The beginning of another part of the Odd Tour. We had planned to visit the Australian Oddworld fans towards the end of the Australian tour, so stay tuned. But at the moment we were headed down the coast of Victoria. As we filled up the car with gas (or petrol as it is known here), Justin was surprised to see "Leaded" petrol on sale as it is not sold in the US at all. Continuding on with rain and cloudy weather, we headed through Geelong and then onto the Great Ocean Road, which is a winding, but scenic road along the Surf Coast of Victoria. Also on this road is a town by the name of "Lorne" ... very appropriate for the Odd Tour!

Traveling on, we got stuck behind a very slow car, which for some reason chose to ignore all the signs and areas telling slower vehicles to pull aside and let others past. They did finally stop at a town, to Justin's relief! Soon the scenery changed from ocean to beautiful forest, as the road went inland for a while.

As we had left a little later than we had initially planned, we did not end up seeing some of the natural formations along this road. Instead however, we decided to spend the night at Port Campbell, which is near to the Twelve Apostles and London Bridge (well it's really a gap now, as it fell down) rock formations. Therefore, they will be our first stop tomorrow. For tonight we had a few day's updating to do to get ourselves back on track.
